A Small Architectural Retreat in the Heart of Nature
This 30-square-meter retreat, built entirely from wood, offers a seamless connection to the wild Finnish landscape. Designed to blend effortlessly into its surroundings, the structure creates a harmonious relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces, making nature an integral part of the experience.
Designed for year-round living, the retreat is compact yet highly functional. Its adaptable openings invite the forest inside, while large windows frame the changing seasons, allowing light, air, and nature to shape the atmosphere. Warm wooden interiors provide a sense of calm and protection, creating a space that is both minimal and deeply connected to its environment.
A retreat for those seeking simplicity, silence, and a closer bond with the wilderness.

Inside, the walls are finished with 100% natural Finnish clay, a fully biodegradable and ecological material that enhances indoor air quality while adding a soft, organic texture to the space. This traditional material not only reinforces the retreat’s sustainable approach but also provides a tactile connection to the earth, grounding the experience in nature itself.
