Ruusankatu's renovation is a modern update of a 1930s flat, designed to accommodate the dynamic lifestyle of a four-member family. Located in Töölö, Helsinki, the layout is highly adaptable to future changes. By reorganizing the space into three distinct zones—active, leisure, and total rest—the residence becomes more luminous, open, and welcoming for guests.

This 110 m² loft apartment, has been renovated to suit the needs of a family of four, including two young children and their parents.
The renovation involved removing almost all existing non-supportable walls and replacing them with a more functional and adaptable layout. The new design organizes the space into three distinct layers, moving from the entrance towards the windows:
Primary functions: A linear arrangement of essential services, including toilets, a bathroom, a utility room, and washing machines.
Dynamic zone: A corridor providing access to all spaces, ensuring smooth circulation.
Living area: A bright and open space that integrates the bedrooms, kitchen, and living room.
This new layout enhances openness, flexibility, and family interaction while maintaining a sense of privacy where needed.
